The Financial Consultant Sr. will be primarily responsible for planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis of pharmacy rebate passbacks. Includes reviewing and preparing interpretation of financial data, financial projections and results for the Anthem Pharmacy Solutions business.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Manage/improve pharmacy rebate passback models to support both the monthly close process, forecasting and annual budget requirements.
Participate in month end close process which includes:
Preparation and submission of journal entries for pharmacy rebate passbacks
Preparation and distribution of month end reporting and variance analysis for pharmacy rebate passbacks
Clearly presenting identified risks and opportunities to management
Provide financial analysis of historical trends and current results in order to determine present and future financial performance.
Develop forecast/plan of pharmacy rebate pasbacks at a detailed level, working closely with the Actuary department to ensure ongoing integrity of the data.
Review opportunities for process enhancements to ensure efficiency and accuracy of all deliverables.
Analyze and forecast cash flow of passbacks, including monthly analysis of results and identifying any potential risks and opportunities.
Ad-hoc duties and willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
Collaborates with team and provides deliverables to outside departments.
BS/BA in accounting or finance required
Minimum three-years of progressive accounting or finance experience required
MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA and/or CFA preferred
Pharmacy or PBM knowledge preferred
Must be able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with high learning agility
